Aircraft Charter Cabin Categories

Piston Aircraft Cabins

Piston aircraft are smaller with a generally slower maximum speed than turboprop alternatives. Piston cabins are typically configured to seat between 2-6 passengers with a maximum range around 1,000 nautical miles depending on weights. These aircraft have the ability to takeoff and land on short runways, making pistons the most versatile aircraft in terms of airport requirements.

Turboprop Aircraft Cabins

Turboprops are an attractive option for missions requiring 600-1,000 miles of travel between airports that often have runways too short to accommodate jets.  Turboprop aircraft have lower operating costs than jets because they burn less fuel however, they are slower than jets. These aircraft vary in size – The typical Turboprop aircraft cabin is the size of a large SUV, seating 6-8 passengers.

Very-Light Jet Cabins

An entry-level, brand new range of jet, the Very-Light Jet offers great rates in quiet and modern cabins. Very-Light Jets are the ideal option for 2-4 passengers flying less than 2 hours.

Light Jet Cabins

This category features a wide range of small executive jets seating from 6 to 8 passengers. All these aircraft have well-appointed cabins and are a popular category in the market. Range can vary from 2 to 4.5 hours.

 

Examples: Cessna Citation CJ1-CJ3+, Hawker Beechjet 400/400XP, Bombardier Learjet 40XR/45XR

Midsize Jet Cabins

Improved headroom and a separate washroom defines this category. Most aircraft seat 8 passengers and have a range of 3 to 5 hours. Some models offer a flight attendant, the later models also have much-improved luggage space.

Examples: Citation Excel/XLS/XLS+, Embraer Phenom 300, Hawker Beechcraft 800A/800XP/900XP, Learjet 60/60XR

Super-Midsize Jet Cabins

These aircraft offer many benefits of the large jets but at more competitive rates. Full standing headroom, great luggage capacity and spacious cabins make this category a popular choice. Seating varies from 8 to 10 passengers with a range of 5-8 hours.

Examples:  Cessna Citation X / Longitude / Latitude / Sovereign, Dassault Falcon 50EX, Gulfstream G-200, Hawker Beechcraft Hawker 4000

Heavy Jet Cabins

These aircraft have spacious cabins, offering six to nine hours range and seating for 8 to 16 in first-class executive style. Full standing headroom, galley and in-flight services are standard within the Heavy Jet category.

Ultra Long-Range Jet Cabins

Large executive jets which offer intercontinental capabilities. Full standing headroom, sleeping arrangements, a galley and in-flight service are standard within the Global Jet category. Luggage accommodations are 15 to 25 assorted sized pieces.

Bizliner Jet Aircraft Cabins

The ultimate aircraft for private jet travel. These airliners have been converted to accommodate smaller groups in VIP first-class executive seating and are popular for heads of state, offering comfort and luxury with sleeping arrangements for the principal. They are the perfect aircraft for worldwide tours.

Examples: Airbus ACJ319, Boeing BBJ, Boeing B757-VIP, Embraer Lineage 1000E

Turboprop Airliner Aircraft Cabins

These aircraft have pressurized cabins and offer great short-field performance, which enables more airports to be utilized. These airliners have been converted to accommodate smaller groups in VIP first-class executive seating and are popular for heads of state, offering comfort and luxury with sleeping arrangements.
